A 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit near the areas of Ridgecrest and Trona California today, as reported by U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake, which rattled the Mojave Desert area, hit at 11:26 a.m. centered about 11.2 miles north of Trona, 11.3 miles north of Searles Valley and 15.2 miles west of Ridgecrest.
This comes on the heels of a 4.0 magnitude earthquake that shook the California-Baja California border region yesterday.
