New LAX Rules To Impact Traveler Curb Side Pick UP

Los Angeles International Airport is changing how passengers are able to get transportation at its terminals. Rolling out a new plan termed “LAX-it.” (Pronounced “LA-Exit”) Under the new plan, all taxis and other rideshare services are banned from getting passengers on the arrivals level.

Travelers instead now take a bus to an area where they can then hail a rideshare or taxi service to transport them away from the airport. A good idea, in theory, many passengers have become frustrated as delays, traffic, and confusion about the new system have pervaded for many of LAX’s visitors.

At present LAX is still adjusting the new program. However, for travelers leaving from LAX, curbside drop-offs are at present still allowed on the upper level of the airport.

All travelers are being advised to plan ahead accordingly if they are flying from LAX this Holiday season, as delays from the new system could possibly create delays.
