SAN DIEGO – Somehow, the Padres just keep finding a way.
San Diego extended its winning streak to five games on Monday night at Petco Park with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Milwaukee in 10 innings.
This time, José Azocar provided the walk-off heroics, with a two-out RBI single in the 10th, shortly after a dazzling escape act from reliever Luis García in the top half of the frame. García worked out of a bases-loaded, none-out jam with a nifty 1-2-3 double play, setting the stage for Azocar to come through after the Brewers had chosen to intentionally walk Eric Hosmer and Wil Myers earlier in the frame.
Padres starter Nick Martinez certainly wasn’t his sharpest, but he did everything he could to keep the Padres in the game. Ultimately, Martinez did exactly that, gutting through five innings of two-run ball — and…
