Furniture from Set of `The Conners’ Offered in Charity Auction

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Fans of the ABC sitcom “The Conners” — formerly known as “Roseanne” — can now bid on some pieces of furniture from the show’s set in a fundraiser announced today benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.

In the show’s storyline, John Goodman’s character Dan recently got remarried to Louise, played by Katey Sagal. So with Louise moving into the Conners’ home, Dan has agreed to part with some furniture dating back to his marriage to former series star Roseanne Barr.

Those items being moved out of the Conner house and off the set will go on the auction block: a screen-used afghan, dresser, headboard and two wooden nightstands. The items are being sold together in a single package, and will be accompanied by a script signed by the cast of “The Conners.”

The items will also come with a certificate of authenticity. The auction website notes that the items — consistent with “The Conners” lifestyle — are showing signs of wear and tear, the nightstands don’t match, and not all of the furniture drawers can fully open.

The auction package has an estimated value of $5,000. Bidding will close on Dec. 17.

Full details of the available items, along with information about bidding, can be found online at www.charitybuzz.com/theconners.
