Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises Slightly

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent today to $3.19 after dropping eight of the past nine days.

The average price decreased 1.3 cents over the past nine days, including two-tenths of a cent Thursday, Friday and Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 2.9 cents lower than one month ago, $1.014 cheaper than one year ago. It has decreased 42.5 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.15, after dropping six of the past seven days, decreasing 1.4 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Saturday.

The Orange County average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago, 3.9 cents lower than one month ago and $1.014 cheaper than one year ago. It has decreased 39.5 cents since the start of the year.
