Port Of Los Angeles Agrees To Work With Scandinavian Port On Sustainability

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The Port of Los Angeles and Copenhagen Malmo Port AB have entered a five-year agreement to collaborate on addressing sustainability and environmental issues, it was announced today.

The memorandum of understanding between the two ports focuses on facilitating dialogue, information exchange and sharing of best practices, Port officials said.

The agreement includes a commitment to developing better energy uses and alternative energy sources; using cleaner marine terminal equipment technology, ocean vessels and drayage trucks; and participating in global environmental associations and initiatives.
