Huntington Park- Mr. Caballero is a resident of South Gate, and his company is in Gardena.
On September 9, 2003, City Council approved to appoint Victor Caballero to the newly
created Arts and Culture Commission in this city.
Mr. Caballero contributed to the campaigns of all city council members at one time or
On February 2, 2004, City Council awarded his firm, Fiesta Taxi Co-Op, along with
Oldtimers Foundation in Huntington Park, a $3.9 million transportation contract.
Reportedly, each was rated third and fourth, respectively, out of 4 bidders.
Reportedly the contract cost the city $22,000 more than if awarded to the low bidder.
As Arts and Culture commissioner, city records indicate that he has accepted payment of
$100 for attending Commission meetings. According to campaign statements filed with city
clerk's office, Fiesta Taxi has donated a total of $4,000 to the slate of
