Questionable Years of Residency in City by Councilman Ed Escareno

By WatchOurCity.com

Huntington Park- Councilman Ed Escareño stated in his 2001 candidate statement form
that he lived in Huntington Park for “the past 15 years”.

Public court documents reviewed by WatchOurCity.com show that a Proof of Service of
Summons, part of Family Law divorce proceedings, was allegedly served on Edward Avila
Escareño at 7:00 A.M. on Saturday November 11, 2000.

The summons document indicates that it was allegedly delivered to Escareño’s “home” and
that it was “personally delivered to the person served”.

The address where he was served that Saturday morning was not in Huntington Park, but
in the city of La Mirada, California. This summons document was filed by the Los Angeles
Superior Court on November 2, 2001.

It is puzzling why Ed Escareño would be residing at a home other than his listed
Huntington Park address.
