If she cloaks herself with the church's mantle, why then does she not object to the hypocrisy and questionable ethics of Noguez, her political Padrino? they all want to make us believe they have high ethical and moral standards because they are connected to St. Matthias. | Huntington Park, CA (January, 2005): The Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles emailed a statement to WatchOurCity.com regarding last week's revelation that a relative of Councilman Mario Gomez, a convicted child molester and registered sex offender listed on Megan's Law website, was a volunteer a St. Matthias Elementary School. Part of the response states: " ......your editorial, which offers no proof for the alleged ties between political figures and church personnel, is utterly outrageous and without factual foundation. It calls into question the very purpose of your website. Is it about safety and public awareness or just opportunistic and shameless politics? One might reasonably guess it is the latter."
